Cloud security is very similar to on-premises IT Infrastructure. It is important for businesses to make sure the appropriate security measures are put in place to avoid any breaches.

Just like on-premises, cloud solutions can be vulnerable; if the right security solutions, processes, training and management are not in place, cloud solutions can fall victim to cyber-attacks. However, a benefit of using the cloud means that should a malicious attack or natural disaster happen, downtime is significantly reduced and, provided the appropriate backup and recovery solutions are in place, businesses can recover their data from the cloud.

Cloud solutions are kept up to date by the provider and these no longer need to be installed on individual endpoints. This means that they can fix any security risks as soon as they are made aware of them. Furthermore, the cloud provider is responsible for keeping your hardware updated and, if necessary, providing routes to avoid any downtime when updating the infrastructure.
